Visitor Care Insurance is a beneficial and popular visitor insurance policy offering beneficial coverage. The premiums are affordable and individuals are covered while they travel outside their native country. Since senior citizens who are above 65 years old are also eligible for the policy, this visitor travel medical insurance plan is quite popular among parents visiting the US or international travelers.

Non US citizens traveling overseas can purchase this visitors care insurance plan. For individual who are more than 65 years of age, the initial coverage period should start within 30 days of arriving in the US unless the traveler holds sufficient proof of a valid international travel medical insurance plan. In case the applicant is not in the US at the time of enrollment, the expected arrival date in the country should be mentioned in the application form.

The Visitors Care Insurance offer a range of beneficial coverage services like emergency intensive care, prescription drug coverage, hospitalization charges, out-patient treatment, dental injuries, diagnostic tests, surgeries, doctor consultation, local ambulance transport and private nursing expenses.

The insured are entitled to subsidized treatment at beneficial rates if they consult a medical professional who is a part of the PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) network. This would ensure that the out-of-pocket costs expenses are the least while the patient undergoes treatment.

Coverage begins on the date of receipt of completed application form along with the premium or the departure date of the insured from the home country or the date specified in the enrollment form at the time of submission.

The validity of the visitor health insurance policy continues till the insured returns back to the homeland after the trip. The policy also lapses in between the trip if it crosses the expiry date without renewal or on a preferred specific date mentioned by the insured in the application form.

Individuals can choose from 3 different insurance options offered by the Visitors Care travel health insurance policy. Each of these choices has different policy maximums. Coverage is available for as short as 5 days and the insured can purchase the policy for a period of 1 year. Renewal can be done for a maximum period of 2 years at a time.

The insured individuals are entitled for a full refund if the cancellation request is submitted before the beginning of the effective start date of the Visitor Care insurance plan. Otherwise, refunds would be calculated for the remaining valid period if there are no claims filed so far under the medical insurance policy. A nominal cancellation fee is deducted while processing the cancellation request.
